  • [Game] has anyone eaten alone at ...

I like bbq to a certain extent and i REALLY want to do the Big thunder ranch BBQ. has anyone done this alone for lunch AND dinner ever? And by alone i dont mean, my son got chicken nuggets from such and such and came back. I mean eating at a place all by yourself?

Id like to enjoy this but would feel so out of place as a guy by himself eating there, as tiny as i am i tend to eat a lot lol.

The ONLY difference i see in lunch or dinner there is that dinner has the smoked Sausage am i correct?

I haven't eaten there alone, but I really don't see why you couldn't. After all, this is DL -- just because you'll be solo doesn't mean you can't enjoy the whole Big Thunder BBQ experience! If you can schedule your lunch or dinner for an off-peak time, that might be easier for you to get a table without sharing (unless you want to share!) and to be up by the stage (if you want to have a great view of the show). I think it might be harder for the host/hostess to fit you in during a peak time with lots of families/groups needing lots of table space.
And you are right, as far as I know, about the only difference between the menus being the sausage that is only served at dinner.

I used to eat at all kinds of restaurants alone. Never did this one, but just go for it. Heck, you might make a friend out of the experience!

Haven't been to the BBQ necessarily, but I've certainly eaten alone everywhere else. "Table for one, please!" as opposed to a reluctant "just one" made a lot of difference as to how I felt about it.

They're corn wheels. Still on the cob, but the cob sliced into chunks (if that makes sense).

I say go for it! Eating alone is something that people rarely do these days. It might be a great chance to enjoy the food as well as people watch. Post up in a good spot and enjoy yourself.

In regards to portions, I have heard that you get a lot of food... and if you can eat a lot, more power to you!

                  Enjoy your meal!

I would think it would be OK, there's always lots of tables available when I walk by.

I've had dinner there by myself and I had a nice time. I didn't feel weird. In addition to the sausage, the dinner also has corn on the cob. Go have fun and enjoy!

Go for it! I've gone twice, but never alone. The food is delicious and there is no problem with being alone at Disneyland. I've done it before and I had a fantastic" Me Party"

I've never eaten there alone. I go all the time alone though; I tend to eat alone at DCA better. The food at Disneyland is worse.

I've not eaten alone at the Thunder Ranch BBQ, but have done so at other Disneyland/DCA restaurants. I've even eaten a lunch at the Blue Bayou alone.
I am old. But still love Disneyland.

I did it once for lunch when it first opened for three reasons: 1) It was open. 2) I wanted to try it and 3) I WAS HUNGRY!!!!!!!! Back then, it was a character dining experience with Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye.

Dinner starts at 4:00 pm. At dinner, they add smoked sausage to the meats, and corn cob wheels to the sides (corn on the cob, sliced into cobettes). The corn is poached in milk and butter - it is pretty amazing! I've eaten there by myself lots of times. And starting September 2, I'll be working there again, so be sure and say "Howdy".
