  • [Question] Muppets Halloween Replacement?

Al reported the Frankenweenie preview taking over Muppets this fall. While they've announced the Frankenweenie tie in for DCS, there has been no official word from Disney that Muppets is going to be absent for the same period.

    Anybody know anything?

Count me disappointed, assuming it happens. There are a lot of us fall visitors complaining about Indy and maybe Alice (not to mention classic HM and Space). But this one stings me too. Have always been a fan.

I really really hope it isn't all day. I love the Muppets and would be extremely disappointed if they are gone

It will be like the Tron thing last year. It was strange seeing this 'preview' last October when the movie had already bombed and Waldorf and Statler were covered in sheets.

I am excited for Frankenweenie and all, but they shouldn't completely overhaul the Muppet theater with it.

Oh great, just what we need, another B-list Tim Burton movie being promoted in Disneyland.

After a while they all start to seem the same.

I don't see the apprehension in this idea (or removing the Muppets altogether). The Tron preview was being viewed a year after the movie had been released and Muppets is as empty as ever. Like Burton movies or not, something, anything, that gets the place in use would be good for a change. I go to see the Muppets show once in a while and sometimes there are only 3 or four other people in there.
Muppets theater isn't something that screams "MAINSTAY AT DCA" so if it has to go let it go.

What's going on with Indy and Alice this fall?

Oh that would be fun! I missed out the the Tron preview but I hope to catch this one! LOVE LOVE LOVE Time Burton and all his wonderful creations. It's nice to see imagination outside of the Disney "norm."

I highly doubt that they would completely remove the Muppets. It's too cute!

The movie didn't bomb while it didn't make a lot of money since it was expensive and the marketing was a lot it brought in 400 million world wide. Hardly a flop.

Why don't they set up a film preview using the space in the Who Wants to be a Millionaire building or even the Tron 'arcade' building. Dancing with disney is an insult to disney attractions as is the ugliness of mad tea party.

According to OC Register, it's Muppets by Day, and Frankenweenie by night. For me and mine, this is great news.
