[Fun] Glow with Show Hat Modifications

I was bored tonight and felt I was being clever so I modified two of my glow with show hats, I made a Sorcerer Mickey one and a Donald one.
What do you guys think?
If anyone one else has modified there hats, please post

now see I admit I would buy glow ears is they were like that. the sorcerer one especially! why does the actual one must have an ugly pattern?

I was kind of thinking the same thing.

Last I was at DLR, my bf bought me the minnie ears with a big feather in the middle. Would it be any different than that? Our maybe the hat could be smaller?

The Donald hat looks really cool. I'd like to do that, too. How did you suspend the battery pack? Do the ears still fit on your head? I'm curious because I believe the glow ear head part is a bit larger, or more dome-shaped to fit the battery pack.

Hmmm... I'd love to see a sketch or pictures of the internals, I have a few innnnnnnterestink ideas that would be a lot easier if the control board was with the battery pack, and not inside the ears themselves. This lends itself nicely for Hacking as it is.

Like for one, take a regular... No, I'll save it for the big reveal.

those hats fit funny .. they need to make them fit better on heads! seriously!! my friend even had a hard time, he had to put his over his baseball cap just for it to fit.. this is why i havn't bought one

The ears actually screw into a plastic suspension along with the battery pack. The ears are a little bit larger and you do have to make some holes to screw in the glow with show ears. I think the hat fits a little better than the glow with show hat because it's not so domed.

I sort of cheated with the sorcerer mickey hat, all I did was take off the fuzzy ears with a seam ripper and pop a glow with show hat inside of it (it actually fits well)

If I modify another hat, which I probably will, I'll add it to this thread with a picture of the internals. I want to modify a Nightmare hat for Halloween time

Very creative! I would never have thought of that:D You should definitely do more in the future! And, you should definitely do some more without high extensions so you can actually wear them in the parks and during the show. That would be AWESOME!

Im glad to see that I'm not the only one to want to modify the original hat! I personally think its really ugly! I turned my wifes into just a hairband, and relocated the batteries to be put in her backpack or pocket

Id also like to know why they made the pattern on the dome so "unique". Just normal black Mickey ears would have been more desirable it would seem. Not to mention it would fit with the "classic" feel if the original WOC idea better (since it is a retro-reference to the old TV show).

The Sorcerer hat looks like a natural, I'd almost want to do that myself.

A Donald Duck hat with glowing bill would be great, and you'd be able to see the effect yourself while you're wearing it! (But I've never understood why anyone would want mouse ears on a duck hat.)

A co-worker returned from a trip to DL and wondered why they didn't have all the F! employees wearing the GWTS hats. There are so many of them there.

I LOVE what you did to your hats! I always hated the ugly designs of the GWTS ears, and I can't believe I never thought of this before! I would love to see a step by step tutorial on how you were able to modify your hats.
