  • [Question] Was Pooh originally a Fastpass attraction?

Just wondering: I have come across several websites - in particular this review of the Disneyland Pooh ride written in 2005: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - Disneyland: Making Kids Happy in Critter Country - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - Disneyland - Epinions.com and another page that has since been taken down that included a quote from an Imagineer who was working on the Pooh queue: "We are still trying to work out where to put the Fastpass merge area..." - that claim that The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is/was supposedly a Fastpass attraction. Was Pooh originally intended to be a Fastpass attraction, as there certainly aren't any FP machines there now? Was it simply the fact that the ride was originally FP, and due to its low popularity, they scrapped the FP system? Or did the whole Fastpass idea get scrapped mid-production? I'd assume the latter due to the review, but it still makes me wonder....

Tell me anything you know, I'm curious.

The Pooh FastPass machines are still there, only they are now being used for Splash Mountain. The Splash Mountain machines were located next to the Haunted Mansion exit while Pooh had FastPass.

When Pooh first opened the lines were often 45 minutes and fastpass was needed. It has since died down a little.

The gift shop is more interesting than the attraction.

I never make it past the candy/baked goods counter.

Last time my family went on Splash Mountain for the second time in a 20 minute wait time, so I decided to explore Critter Country. Got a picture taken with Tigger and Winnie the Pooh, and rode the attraction twice!

I went the Summer it opened, and it was about a five minute wait. The park was packed too - we had to wait forever to get out of NOS because we got stuck there when Fantasmic! let out.

If you look closely at the Splash Mountain Fast Pass signage you'll notice that the text does not really match.

I remember waiting in line for over an hour during soft openings. Oh boy that was totally worth it.......
