  • [Question] Trick or Treat Loot from Mickey's Halloween Party

If you have attended Mickey's not-so-scary Halloween party in the past, what treats did they give at trick or treat stations? Do they provide a bag? Or would an empty popcorn bucket be big enough to hold everything? Did they give everyone a map of where the stations are? I haven't found costume rules. Are they posted somewhere? :captain:

Trying to plan ahead. Thanks for your help!

Re: Trick or Treat Loot from Mickey's Halloween Party

Last year they gave out little bags and larger shopping bags for candy--but a lot of people had their own bags and buckets. From what I remember, they had both candy and "healthy choices" at each station. In this photo of our "haul" from last year you can see what the candies are; the healthy treats included apple slices, raisins, and carrot sticks. We took a lot of those.

For costume rules, IIRC, you CAN dress like a Disney character but you CANNOT sign autographs or pose for photos "as" a character. The costumes also have to be somewhat family friendly--I think if you were to come as an axe murderer or in something very provocative they'd probably turn you away.

I don't really remember seeing a map of the treat stations--there might have been one, but we just walked around and stopped at the ones we found.

They should have custom-made candy in Mickey ears shapes and other shapes related to Disney.
I'm sure they could easily afford that. It seems so "generic" to give out the same candy you can buy anywhere.

Name brand candy, carrot sticks, apples, grapes, and rasins.

They do provide bags at check in. Last year they ran out and those coming in later were told to just visit one of the retail stores and ask for a bag.

I did see a couple of people with their own bag/recepticle for the candy.

The costume guidelines are at the bottom of the page.

Not to hijack the thread, but what time are the fireworks and parades at? Does it change from night to night? I haven't been able to find this out anywhere. (Going on a Friday party)

Re: Trick or Treat Loot from Mickey's Halloween Party

I have gone ever since The Disney Resort started Mickey's Halloween Treat. My family and I always start in the back and work our way forward. No one is in the back and by the time we have worked our way forward we don't have to cart the kids from the back of the park to the front.

Yes, depending on which night you go, the parade and fireworks are at different times. Besure to pick up a program when you enter and everything is listed

When I went two years ago, they gave me a bag. However, it got full quickly and I found myself telling my friend 'We're gonna need a bigger bag.'

Fireworks were at 9:30. The Parade runs twice I think about 8:15 or 8:30 and then at 10:15. It seemed like last year when I did a Friday instead of a Tuesday two year ago, there was a bigger gap from the fireworks to the second parade. Maybe 10:30 or 10:45 on the Friday.
