  • [Pictures] DCA Beast's Library Original Artwork

    So I work in the visual effects industry, and one of the concept artists I work with created a lot of the art and animation that you see in the Animation Building at DCA. I asked him if he had any of the original work, and so today he brought in the images you see below (yes, those are the originals that he made). This is from the Beast's Library. The painting actually changes from the first image to the second as the lightning strikes and you see three claw marks appear across it. Next time you go, take a look. He also showed me his original concept for the sign for "Off the Page." Disney pretty much stuck to his concept, although they did tweak it a bit. Pretty fun to see all of this! Here are the images:

    Nice pieces, must've been a fun job working from screen shots of the portrait from the film. Thanks for sharing.
