  • [Other] Mousewait/Otto

Mousewait isn't working with the IOS 6 upgrade on iPhone 3G. I understand it works with the 5 but we haven't received ours yet.

I called the Ask Otto line at DLR (714-520-7090) to see what it's like. I called at 12:45 pm Disneytime. RSR 80 min wait no FP, Screamin 20 min FP return 1:20, No time available for POTC or Toy Story MM. Splash 40 min or FP 1:50. Star tours 25 min FP 1:30, Tower of Terror 15 min wait or 1:20 FP, Space Mtn 30 min or FP 2:55. Interesting!

I have it working on my phone up here in seattle. I am on wifi at the moment, so not sure about 3G.

I also just got a message on MouseWait that the 5.0 version is set to be submitted to Apple in a few days, so perhaps they are working on your issue.

I downloaded the Mousewait app so I could use it on my trip next week and it won't even open for me. I wound up downloading another one that has wait times and it works fine.

Free version of an app called DL Waits by VersaEdge Software. I went into the app store and typed "Disneyland wait times" into the search bar. It has wait times for both Disneyland and California Adventure.

No problem. They also have an app with maps for both parks.

I really only use Ask Otto now if I really need to know wait times.

MouseWait is good as well for the times, but I would stay away from their forums. People are pretty ruthless in there..

I agree about Otto, he takes quite a bit of time compared to the app.

I don't have time to chat in the park anyway!

My two cents: I started using Touring Plans over Mousewait about a year ago and found the user experience and accuracy of actual wait times far superior, especially because Touring Plans predicts wait times and Fastpass return times for the whole day. Nice yto know when is the best time to get in line.

I am not affiliated with Touring Plans, just a fan.
                      Disneyland Wooooh!

. Mousewait has a horrible lounge. They are mean and rude. For some reason they think they own disneyland. I am glad that I am a part of mouse chat now. So far I have read some really nice post and comments.

I agree. I was never a part of their forum but I have seen enough rude remarks to know not to become a member.

                                Ditto!

The App is called "Lines" (Sometimes DL Lines or Disneyland Lines). It works because it's real data, not a rehash of the Posted Wait times (which people should know are never, ever correct, especially when Disney "stacks" the line (makes them seem longer than they are to get people to distribute more throughout the park...)

Unless somethine weird has happened... I find that it's correct...as in dead on over 90% of the time. I've had lines that said "45 mins" ont he outside with my group and Lines says 17 minutes... I tell my group to stick around... they moan... I start the timer and just before getting on the ride.... 17 minutes waited! Almost every time!

I Tried Mouse Wait a few times, and really didn't get much out of it other than the reports of a ride down... MouseWait seems to get more people posting, but again, they just post the posted time on the ride, which Lines will prove to you is basically worthless. (They tell you too, but it's amazing when you see "Wait Time Posted" and "Wait Time Actual" so far apart some times.

I don't care to pay for Lines when mousewait, which is indeed working now, was accurate enough on our last trip.
