Personally, I prefer a day cruise. I do have a hard time seeing everything at night. It all depends on where the lights are shining.
However, I do kind of enjoy the "eeriness" that can be gained in a night cruise. But in my experience, that depends on a lot of factors, including the skipper, crowd, and how fast we're "rushed" through.
I have only been on this ride once at night but from what I remember it was lit up enough to see the aspects of the ride. It's better to do during the day, imo. It's easier to see the entire ride and it is more fun.
I think it would be cool if they added some live people out there in the jungle for the Halloween party to give some soft scares and/or laughs - then once word got out then they really would be lined up to ride on the Jungle Cruise.
I like it at night, but in general, Disneyland is all around better at night.
I agree on both accounts! Disneyland is better at night....and the jungle cruise is way better at night.....and if you really lucky you can get a skipper who works with the darkness to make an even better trip.
In the summer and hot days, nighttime rocks! The guides get a little silly and it is fun with the dark masking anything that would pull you out of the ride atmosphere. In the winter, day is best as it gets cold on the water at night.
Night. Especially when you're really tired. The jokes are perceived as funnier (because you're tired) and I feel the skippers are more engaged in their job.
I love Disneyland a lot better at night! So night for me

I prefer night. You do miss some things, but I just love it. There is a sense of mystery to it... especially when the skipper kills the lights and turns on the spotlight. I think the ride is great at all times, but for me, night is my preference.
I'm not "lion", when i say, the day cruise is less dangerous, at night the hippos are not as hip, the elephants are drying their trucks, the natives are sleeping...
day

I may have to try it in the day to see if I like it better. I'm still kind of hung up on that post we had recently though about funny or not... I don't think I like the humor.
