  • [Question] Convention tickets - can these be applied to an AP?

I am hoping someone can tell me if the discounted tickets you get through conventions (conventionears) can be applied to an AP. Theoretically I would use a convention park hopper for 2 days and on the second day convert to an AP.
Here are just a few of the key ingredients: dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers - can you see how incredible this is going to be? - hang gliding, come on!

I don't know for sure but would guess you can. Keep in mind that you have to upgrade from the cost of the tickets, and if the ticket are subisdized by the convention you upgrade from what you paid loosing the savings. Also know that you AP is good for a year and it will start that year on the first day you use the tickets you upgrade. If you don't already have the ticket you may just want to get the AP in the first place.

I'm surprised nobody has answer this that has done it or tried at the least. Next week the biggest group of convention ticket users is going to the parks. The Gay Day tickets are convention tickets. Maybe someone has upgraded those in the past and can share thier experience.

Next year I'm trying for a summer internship at Stark Industries.

It should say whether it's eligible for upgrade on the ticket itself.

I would assume they would take into account that it is discounted and add the difference.

I got a twilight convention ticket for my mom and it states No Cash Value so I take that to mean the face value can't be converted to go toward an AP. I'm just going to get a 2 day park hopper and convert that to an AP instead. Thanks for all the answers!
