  • [Fun] favorite ride soundtracks?

with the thread on ringtones being a hit and my own enjoyment of watching "ride views" on youtube, i recently realized that, whereas soarin' isn't my favorite ride (one i love, sure, but not my favorite), i like the musical score for it the best! i feel like i have the most ties to it; i actually get goosebumps and re-live my times riding it as soon as i hear that first crescendo.

so my question to you, micechatters, is which is your favorite song from a ride?

"oh, i just love happy endings!"

Indy. Nothing beats a great John Williams score.

I put several tracks on my iPod and these have become my favorites:

          1. it's a small world (Really! It's not as repetitive as it can seem to be on the ride.)
          2. Pirates (the track I have is an old version, via YouTube, that I think pre-dates the political correcting as well as Depp)
          3. Haunted Mansion (Much more repetitive than it seems to be on the ride.)
          4. Tiki Room
          5. Space Mountain (current)
          6. Splash Mountain
          7. Space Mountain queue music

I have the 50th anniversary CD with some of the soundtracks on it, and I find that I love Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, and the Fantasyland compilation that they have (it has most of the Fantasyland dark ride themes all on one track).

I totally agree with everything that you said about the Soarin' soundtrack. It's simply outstanding. Along with Soarin', I love Space Mountain's music and the instrumental parts of POTC. And the WOC theme always gives me goosebumps. With so much great music in the parks, I could go on, but those are my particular favorites.

I really love Space Mountain and Screamin. Before those two, I have never been on a rollercoaster with an onboard soundtrack before, and now I can't see why other places don't do it. It's a total experience on those.

I also love the theme to the Last Starfighter that is played as part of the Condor Flats background loop.

I like the Indy and WoC soundtrack but I must say, the Space Mountain soundtrack is DAH BEST.

I have way too many favorites. The ones that I constantly play over and over in my head though are Space Mountain, Soarin', Screamin', Radiator Springs Racers, the queue music for the Little Mermaid, World of Color, the Submarines (you read right), and Soundsational. I can usually walk home to the entire World of Color soundtrack.

The old American Journeys soundtrack is still near and dear to the ticker (even like the queue intro they played as you walked into the theatre). Also loved the "Golden Dreams" cap-off in the prefurb version of Lincoln. Was fortunate to find all of these online.

Also a big fan of Jerry Goldsmith's 'Soarin' score.
"The old man's gonna knock on the sky. Listen to the sound."

                          AP'er since 2004. Yup.....I'm one of THEM.

I have several favorites, but one standout is for Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh, and also the Baroque Hoedown for the Electrical Parade.
                              My top favorite Disneyland attractions:

                              1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
                              2. Pirates of the Caribbean
                              3. Splash Mountain
                              4. Mad Tea Party
