The biggest issue (and its a huge one) is the fact that this would cut off firework viewing on Main Street. TDL's parade route doesn't run straight towards the entrance like others and instead accommodates much more for a dual parade/firework system (not only Countdown but also Blazing Rhythms, and a few other parades with fireworks.
However, I think TDA should look into it as there is constantly an issue with fog and this would resolve that the problem.
Also, another issue is the # of floats. Remember that Tokyo uses their Halloween, Christmas, and Easter parades. Plus they'll use a few extras they have laying around such as Rainy Day and some that are used specifically for Countdown. Honestly, I'm not sure if Disneyland in California would have enough.
that is very true it will be hard to see everything for the new years eve events. But imagine if they do it, they have the soundsational parade floats and also the christmas fantasy parade floats n some old floats from old parades.
One problem crowds, their is simply not enough space for those people on main street to move somewhere else in the park, so floats can float down the street. I wish they would do something like that maybe like a mini parade at 11:00pm for the hour warning then after let everyone back into the streets to prepare for the firework count down.
