So the new face character costume for Cinderella has been released and there's word that the other princesses will be getting makeovers soon too. What do you guys think of this? Any word on the other costumes or anything yet too?

Re: New Princess Costumes
That's the thing about Disneyland and how they change. If some area of the park ( or costume ) changes, I look at it, and I don't see a difference. I'm not saying they didn't do a great job, it's more like they did such a seamless job that I look at it and swear it's always been that way. I can't even tell. It looks like Cinderella to me but now that you mention it, yes, glittery.

Re: New Princess Costumes
It is slightly different, but close enough that it seems like a lot of effort for little payoff.http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...oto-heavy.html

Re: New Princess Costumes
This is true. Many of the princesses (Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White and Ariel) will soon be getting new looks at the parks worldwide. Look for the new designs soon.Disneyland Wooooh!

Re: New Princess Costumes
Will Pocahontas, Mulan, and Tiana (but mainly Tiana because the other two are hardly ever out) also recieve this change? From the look of the merchandise all they recieve is a TON of glitter, a rather unneccesary "update" in my opinion. Why bother changing their outfits at all? And then as a follow up question, why change some princesses and not others?

Re: New Princess Costumes
I don't like the more modern-looking wig and she looks too heavily made-up, in my opinion; I thought the princesses were more "natural" beauties. The sleeves are wrong but I don't think the old ones reflected the movie. The new bodice appears to be more flattering and the skirts are fine. If they kept the old wig/makeup I'd consider it an improvement, but now I'm just not sure.Daily Duffy Archive! Adventures with Duffy, ShellieMay, or Gelatoni, updated regularly!

Re: New Princess Costumes
Is it possible that the heavy makeup on this Cinderella is just because this was a (filmed) press event? I always had the impression that the princesses were supposed to have a more natural look, yes.Merida looks like this. Not a Barbie doll!

But the new art I've seen for the princesses (there are a few pictures in Capt Hook's signature right now) also look more made-up to me as well. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if the make-up is intentional.Merida looks like this. Not a Barbie doll!
