Anyone attending Rock Around the Park November 11th? Or maybe the pre-event on the 10th? Sound off here!

If you're wondering what RATP is, check out the site! It's a Rockabilly/Psychobilly Day at Disneyland and is NOT an official Disneyland Event. Just another fabulously dressed day in The Park! My friends and I are excited to go, it's always good fun (themed days/events usually are).

I should be there that weekend too! I'm not a Rockabilly/Psychobilly guy but I do love pinup and hot rods! I've even shot some pinup style portraits and burlesque shows. Hoping to get some pics! What a great idea for a meet up.

For those who can't make it, I will be sure to post some pics! I'll have the "good" camera with me this trip and there are a couple professional photogs in my group. If we don't take pictures, there is something wrong with us. LOL There's a car show in the morning on Sunday which will be PERFECT for pictures. Now to just get my bestie up to play model. LOL

And to those that are going, See You There! I'll be with friends representing a pin up lifestyle site we run- just look for the group in Red and Black! Not sure if it helps, but look for the girl wearing the classic Mickey Ears with "Cupcake" on the back. Make sure to say hello! Always happy to meet fellow Micechatters. :thumbup:

GAH! I'm so excited! I've started the countdown and still have to pack... which, for me, is the hardest part of all.

There's a Sock Hop Saturday night with live music and a short Burlesque show at The Juke Joint in Anaheim. Should be a good time!

Here's the Castle pic from the 2011 RATP so people going for the event know what to expect! It grows every year, which makes me wonder- how many people will be there this year?

I'm planning to be there. Trying to decide what to wear 'cause the group photo doesn't show many people in costume. Are there any poodle skirts or obviously 50's-style clothes? Does anyone know if a good size group heads over to dance and later Trader Sam's?

RATP was great fun, though I think I had too much fun at the Sock Hop the night before. LOL! Just wish more people had been dancing. )

Here are a couple pics from the day including the Castle Pic on Sunday. It was a smaller crowd than in previous years, certainly due to the cost to get in and the economy in general. We didn't do too many of the group activities other than the group pic and Trader Sam's in the evening (which we kinda sorta feel sad about, but not really).

BTW, Trader Sams rocks! We were able to stand inside the door for a little bit looking around & waiting for a bar/table seat, but sadly no one was leaving. The details of the bar are outstanding and I am looking forward to my next trip to DLR to enjoy a drink inside. However, we did enjoy drinks and eats outside and were kept nice and warm by the heaters... so lovely as it was a chilly night!


Castle Group Photo - More grease in this picture than a truck stop diner, and it was fabulous!

He was such a fun Santa! He even said I would get a pony this year. :yea:

I am still going through all of the FABULOUS pictures of other RATP attendees- there are SO MANY!
