Re: Interview at Disneyland...
My interview was back in Oct. They had an opening for attractions online, but when it came to my 1 on 1 interview, they let me know that I was going to be put on a waiting list.
Fast forward to Dec 31st, and Disney e-mailed me saying immediate openings were available. I called them and they got back to me, letting me know a position for attractions was available. I was hired over the phone Jan 2nd. I will be starting Feb 1st as well, in Attractions. Looks like we have a few other people here that I'll be joining.
This was a totally different experience than when I hired into Vending in 2010. I was hired on the spot and pushed into service that weekend. But waiting for attractions will be worth it.

Re: Interview at Disneyland...
Just wanted to get on and let you guys know, it turned out that it was an interview, not a scouting thing. I was told I could hire right then into Custodial or wait list for the position I wanted. So I wait listed. I got called back about 6 weeks later and hired right in to attractions. I finished all my paperwork, and start Feb 1'st!

Re: Interview at Disneyland...
Ohhh okay.
Yeah I already did the web based interview, when I received the email after it asked me to set up an in person interview. So I assumed that's what it was. hahaha. Makes sense though.

Re: Interview at Disneyland...
I asked one of the CM's working at Paradise Pier how employment at Disneyland worked and she described it as a step by step process. Like ghosty4 mentioned, your first meeting is more of a scouting out to see if you are the right fit for a position. If they like what they see you will get called back for an actual interview and then if they want to hire you they will get back in contact and offer you a position.

Re: Interview at Disneyland...
In my experience, your first session isn't an interview, as much as "scouting" with a recruiter. Basically they will go over your three choices and talk about what currently has openings and if you are a right fit for any of them. You could wind up in an entirely different department than your three choices. THEN, you be scheduled an interview with the actual department, possibly immediately, possibly on a different day.

If you want to get a frontline position which those are, be frienly, nice, pleasant and smiling.

Interview at Disneyland...
Hi there! I am new here, so please excuse me if I posted this in the wrong area.
I have an interview at Disneyland on Monday and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for me? I am very nervous! I have always wanted to work at Disneyland.
The job I applied for is Attractions. There was also an opening for that one, which is why I applied for it. My second choice was stores, and third was ticket taking. I am REALLY hoping for the attractions one though.
I tried googling the topic, but only came up with some really old responses. Like from 2006. But all came from this site! So I thought maybe I'd get some more up to date information.
ANY and all helps/tips/advice is welcome!Tags: None
