  • [Question] Pirates of the Caribbean/Blue Bayou alligator

Long been one of my favorite subtle details of the park: the alligator to the left of the boat, before the swamp shack with the old man in the rocking chair. Very dimly lit and below the level of the side of the boat: pretty much you need to be looking for it or glance over there at the right second, over the side and down, to see it.

So my question is (and the answer likely no), anyone have a photo of this alligator? Flash (boo! Hiss!) more likely in this case given the moving target, darkness, and closeness to the boat if any is out there. Thanks in advance for sharing any sources with potential photo!

      Thanks very much, exploding!

My secret hope is for a show lighting (very dark) but evocative one, shot head on...but that's not likely to happen. This is certainly better than I'd seen before, so thanks to you and Daveland!

No problem! I'll see if I can't dig around a bit and find another photo. There has to be something out there.

Ha! I always notice that ol' Gator, even without a flashlight you can see it if you tilt your head enough. The blue background light of the bayou illuminates the outline of his body.

By the way, has been named yet? I know the dragon from fantasmic has a name.

We should name the PoTC alligator.

Louis like the gator from Princess and the Frog? Or is it spelled Louie?

I always see that gator when I go. I don't know how or why but it always stands out to me. I'm just weird I would assume.

Well, the old man in the shack has always been called 'Uncle A G' in my family because he bears an uncanny resemblance to a late, much loved uncle. If the 'gator has no official name, I think it only right that MiceChatters give him/her one!

How about 'Little Jack'? After all, what's one more Jack on PoTC. BwaaHaaaa.

It may just be me, but doesn't the Alligator move back and fourth? I went on it today and it wasn't moving. Can anybody tell me if I'm not just seeing things
