About 50% of people prefer Pepsi to Coke - I know, as a diabetic, I can only drink diet soda, and I hate Diet Coke. To me, Diet Pepsi is a far superior beverage. Diet Coke has a dreadful after taste. When I was drinking regular soda, even then I preferred Pepsi over Coke. I know Disney used to sell both Pepsi and Coke in Disneyland. The Golden Horseshoe was originally sponsored by Pepsi, while Coke Corner has always been sponsored by Coca-Cola. One thing I hate about going to Disney (one of the only things) Is the fact I cannot buy a Diet Pepsi ANYWHERE on property.

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
On Facebook, Coke has 54 million likes; Pepsi has 9 million.
From Wikipedia: Pepsi was knocked to third place behind Coca-Cola and Diet Coke, Diet Coke outsold Pepsi in 2010. Coca-Cola sold 1.6 billion cases of its regular soda and 927 million cases of its diet soda, while Pepsi sold only 892 million cases.
You may not enjoy the taste of Coke, but America does, significantly more than Pepsi.

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
It'd be nice to have both in the parks. I've never showed favoritism to either really. It depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If I want Pepsi I get Pepsi. If I want Coke I get Coke. It's not a life-changing situation, lol. Let's not turn this into an argument about which brand is better haha."Y'all come back now, ya hear?"

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
It is as simple as that Coke pays for the sponsorship deal, and Disney accepts: they are free to no longer accept or sell products in the park (see the McDonald's contract being voided and food removed).
Coke is a brand-name with vast public knowledge in America, and cachet besides: many enthusiasts of vintage Coke products and the Santa Claus classic depiction was the work of a Coca-Cola advertising artist. In the end though, just comes down to money, and Coke pays the amount that will make Disney listen, doubtless.when the spooks have a midnight jamboree....

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
Coke may not outsell Pepsi because people prefer it - For example - How many people bought Coke in Disneyland as opposed to how many people bought Pepsi in Disneyland last year? 100% bought Coke, and Zero% bought Pepsi - That does not reflect people's preferences. It reflects accessibility.___________________________________________

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
Personally, I like the taste of Coke, really don't like the taste of Pepsi. One isn't 'better' than the other. Like so many things that are the 'same thing' (i.e. soda or beer) yet 'different' (pepsi vs coke, light vs dark beer) it all comes down to what YOU like the taste of better.
I couldn't care less if DL had both Coke and Pepsi. But I would assume that both Coke and Pepsi would!"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

Personally I prefer water.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
Howdy Pards,
Well, one thing's for certain...over the years the folks at PEPSI have made possible some downright wonderful Disneyland shows and attractions. There was a time when that PEPSI logo appeared on the curtain in the good ol' Golden Horseshoe. Seems to me those Country Bears were brought to us by the good folks at PEPSI and FRITO LAY as well.
Course, Coke Corner...well...
Over the decades I've sipped on my share of both I reckon. Given the choice, taste wise, I'd probably pick good ol' Coca Cola...but I ain't never turned my nose up to Pepsi. When I'm thirsty...they both taste mighty fine ice cold.
Contracts and business practices and such sometimes favor one over the other for the park I reckon... I understand those two companies are sorta competin' with one another...
they both take in billions of dollars in a year's time...
I've been kinda favorin' Green Tea lately...but I ain't never been all that picky about Colas...or any other soft drink for that matter.
One thing though...taint no doubt that Disney charges too much for the stuff no matter what it is... Why? Well, I reckon Disney figures it's got a captive audience inside those gates and...well...they are makin' a ton of money off those beverages too. Taint no doubt whatsoever about that...
Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Re: Why can't I buy a Pepsi inside Disney?
Personally, I prefer Coke to Pepsi, although now that I have diabetes, I prefer Coke Zero to Diet Coke. . . I also like the fact that Coke is more "All-American" than Pepsi. . . Usually, the only time I ever drink Pepsi is if it's the only thing available(although I have to admit that sometimes Pepsi Max does go good with KFC, but that's a different story. . . )Pinkamena Diane Pie, is that you?
