  • [Question] How does Disneyland Resort Express bus work?

Can someone explain the process of using the Disneyland Resort Express bus? Do we need to buy tickets in advance? Can we buy tickets at the airport when we arrive? We are flying into SNA and staying at PPH. I read that the first stop is the DLH. Do we get off there and walk to the PPH? Thanks for any help!

You can buy tickets at the airport. Or, if you buy in advance, there is a small savings.

The busses stop at all of the Disney hotels.

Flying into the John Wayne Airport is really nice. You literally arrive at the airport and follow the signs that direct you to Ground Transportation. Once you are outside you cross one very small street which is directly outside the John Wayne statue area, and you will see the Disneyland Resort Bus area. You can purchase a one way ticket or a round trip one. Tell the driver which hotel you are going to. He will let you know how soon the bus is leaving. The driver only drives to the hotels that his passengers are going to.

      Good luck.

Can you use the Disneyland Resort bus even if you are not staying at a Disney hotel? We're thinking about the Best Western Park Place Inn.

They do, at least they pull in to the bus stop in front. The buses pull into very few hotels since some have tight driveways, but use the nearby bus stops. The Disneyland Hotel is usually the first stop but always a tranfer point. You may get on a different bus there that will go to local hotels.

Because of that transfer it may save you time to make the approximately 15 minute walk across the Esplanade and DTD from the DLH to the BWPPI. Also when leaving putting your bags in the giant lockers on the Esplanade and then taking them to the DLH bus stop can save time.

Also notice the money saving family rate. This is the Disneyland Resort Express site, it's operated by grayline not Disney.
