  • [Question] Should Frontierland have a train station?

Okay, so I've been thinking and logistically it makes sense for Tomorrowland to have a station because it's the only Eastern land in the park. The problem is, it breaks the futuristic theme. Frontierland would be better suited and guests do go pretty far without a stop. So I'm wondering if people would support a switch? Maybe the station could be near the ranch? I'm not sure exactly, but would you oppose not being able to take the train to Tomorrowland?

I wouldn't oppose, I just think that it wouldn't help. New Orleans train station is just right there and as you stated TL is the only Eastern land in the park so the train station is needed.

I've always thought that if they'd just add more scenery/theme to the TL train station, like time travel elements, the train station can fit into the land wonderfully.

I for one would hate the loss of the TL station I use it a lot. As for a FL station I wouldn't mind if there was one after an expansion of that area.

Re: Should Frontierland have a train station?

I wouldn't want to lose the TL station to gain a FL station, but I wouldn't mind a station in FL if they could figure out how to add one.

I do also agree that the TL station could use some spruced up theneing - the before mentioned Time Travel theme would be pretty cool.

The one in New Orleans Square kinda is the station for Frontierland

Re: Should Frontierland have a train station?

The New Orleans Train station used to be Frontierland Train Station, and the building on the opposite side is the Original Frontierland Train Station. The renamed it after the New Orleans was built up and is closer to the station than Frontierland. So the Tomorrowland station just needs some more futuristic look and it would fit right in. The Time Travel approach would solve the problem of a Steam Engine coming through.

Yes. I think a Frontierland station would work if it was placed down the line a bit, but only after a Frontierland expansion. The Toontown station would then be eliminated.

I also agree that the TL station is needed. It is so handy. I too wouldn't mind some sort of aditional theming.

Re: Should Frontierland have a train station?

Am I missing something but wouldn't a Frontierland station mean the train goes 100 feet before stopping again at Toon Town? I don't see how Tomorrowland is even an issue. Toontown and Frontierland would be almost immediately next to eachother.

If it were to be themed to Time Travel I would kinda imagine it would be like Doc Browns Train in Back To The Future: Part 3 which would be cool. I'm not saying it would be like exactly that as it is a Universal Product. I like this idea though cause how else do you get a Time Traveling Train unless...You enter...the Twilight Zone! :O

Expand Frontier land into the jamboree area. Add e-ticket and mining town with station. Maybe they can remove toontown station if they open up the are between frontier and fantasy land.
In the quest for quality, I have no problem with the characters footing the bill.

No. The park is small enough that the 5 very well spaced stations aways leave you in an area close to a land. Any additional stations would completely ruin the flow of the actual train ride. It's nice to have longer stops between stations.

                            1. There are 4, not 5.
                            2. I'm proposing a switch, not an additional.

Yes, 4. No need for a switch IMO. I think the existing station serves 3 lands very well. Again, just my opinion.
