First I hear Iron Man, now i am hearing Star Wars. Then I hear both will be in the third theme park. I am so confused with the rumours.

Re: Tommorrowland- What is going on???
I would still rather have an Avengers themed ride rather than just Iron Man. Now that the sequel to TRON: Legacy is moving forward at Walt Disney Pictures, I could see a TRON attraction in the near future. Maybe a TRON themed People Mover... with ENCOM sponsoring it as a test of new transportation.

Re: Tommorrowland- What is going on???
Whatever the new thing turns out to be........one thing that we can count on is that Disney will take their sweet old time deciding, planning, constructing and opening.
In the meantime, UniOrlando is constructing a new land, refurbishing another, and building 3 new E-tickets........all at the same time.Last edited by mainejeff; 12-14-2012, 07:05 AM.

Even after things are announced by Disney, I'll be skeptical until it opens. I still have promotional materials publicly announcing Disneyland's big expansion with t heir second theme park in California: Westcot.http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...oto-heavy.html

Originally posted by monster heck View PostI'm hoping there is a PeopleMover in the new Star Wars. Either that or the next Pixar flick. This way, the attraction will be back.
The chances of the attraction coming back are slim the way I see it. The track is deteriorated from lack of maintenance, weather, and the short lived Rocket Rods. Not to mention I would question the integrity of the structure. It would need major work to get back into operating order again. Aside from that, being that the Peoplemover was removed and replaced with the Rocket Rods there is no chance of the attraction being "grandfathered" in. Basically, if anything happens back on that track again, OSHA and the ADA are going to have to get involved and make it up to code with the proper emergency exits, etc. That's going to be a mess.
Above all, the Peoplemover had it's time. It's now time to let it rest in peace. If we ever get a major re-work or Tomorrowland I'd like to see the tracks removed completely. Keep the loading/unloading building and place a re-themed Astro Orbiter back in it's rightful place. Not only will this be more aesthetically pleasing but it also stops the congestion you experience while entering the land. Just my two cents.
