  • [Question] How do people feel about the Monorail going through Buena Vista St?

Just curious. Not really an easy way to avoid it, but I don't so much mind, except for one time when the driver honked. What do you guys think thematically about it?

It doesn't make much sense, but it doesn't bother me.

        Not a big deal.

It bothers me a lot less than the Golden Gate Bridge did in general... So overall, I think we're living with a huge improvement having to only deal with "out of place" monorails!

Should always have been a station there from the start, that's my 2 cents.

WHAT IF... They built some kind of... "Rotating Facade" that would pass through at the exact same moment as a monorail, and serve as cover-up theming? Make it seem like the proper type of train is passing overhead? Or perhaps a series of time-period authentic trucks and cars?

                Huh? HUH?

                It'd work.

I have more of a problem with it circling Matterhorn.

I don't mind it, i mean the Magic kingdom and Disneyland park has it pass by the Train Station and it has for years, ive never seen a problem then... its just a little different here but its not a bit bother its mostly quiet (of course unless the driver honks )

I actually haven't seen the monorail cross the bridge while I was on Buena Vista Street. I've been ON the monorail as it crossed the bridge, but have yet to see the monorail zoom by while on the street level.

Don't mind it at all. Then again, they could barrel the monorail through an attraction (a la DLRR through Splash Mountain or People Mover/Rocket Rods through just about everything in Tomorrowland) and I probably still wouldn't mind. I appreciate theming just as much as the next guy, but I'm not losing sleep over it.

Its funny, to me, the Monorails have always been a big part of what represented Disneyland to me ever since I was a kid. They are something I take for granted, and expect at the park, just part of the whole experience. They are an exciting reminder that, Oh yeah, I'm in Disneyland! Not that you need reminding of that, its just that I don't see monorails anywhere else in my day to day life.

The Monorail represents a futuristic method of transportation through various and disparate thematic lands, just like the train does. It is impossible for it to be out of theme because it transcends theme.

Ha! This is hilarious, and it seems relatively feasible. I don't think it would ever happen but it would be something to see.

I liked it more when it was the Golden Gate Bridge, but I am still okay with it. I haven't actually noticed it in a long, long time.
