Now much has changed since I went to dlr. I am wondering what kinda freebies they do. I Already know about the blue birtday button. But what Restaurants give out the best free cakes? I ate at the rainforest on my b-day and got free ice cream.
If I go to the dca Chocolate factory do I get a free bag of chocolate?
Dlr is $125 for the hopper and I'm pretty sure it will be worth it, I still haven't seen Carsland

The last time I went I did the free on your birthday thing in 2009 (which they stopped doing) and every cm said happy bday to me!

When I went for my b-day last fall I got free desserts (inside Disneyland) at Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, and Carnation Cafe. I also got free dessert at the PCH Grill inside the Paradise Pier hotel and also a free dessert in Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. I think just about every sit-down restaurant will give you a little something for a birthday.

Also, when you wear the birthday button a majority of CM's will give you the front seat on the rides when possible.

They sang to me at the Carnation Cafe. I also had the musician performing at the Jazz Kitchen sing to me. My cousins got his attention and he sang me a jazz rendition of the birthday song.

The Patina Group, will give you a free meals if you register with them. They operated Tortilla Joe, Naples, Catal and Uva bar in DTD. Really though it's $30 or $50 off a much higher bill, but a steep discount. Rules and Regulations | PRG - WC

I think it's because of Uva Bar.

I actually don't know of any place within the two parks that does any birthday "extras". The Carnation Cafe is no longer there, although the cafe that took its place may do something special. I think your best bet is to just let whoever is serving you that you are a celebrating a birthday!

Not that is just for details on the offer.

This link goes to the page where you register, then they email you the coupon.

Carnation Cafe is still there. I eat there pretty much every visit.

Thank you for the info and link, Swampy!

All the Disney sit down restaraunt will, and most DTD locations too. When making a reservation with Disney you are usually asked if you are there for a special occasion or celebrating something, at that point say, "yes it's so and so's birthday". When checking in for dinner or at your hotel it doesn't hurt to remind them about that birthday, anniversary or what have you. Again letting the waiter know is good too.
