  • Rescue Rangers, Chip, Dale, Gadget, et al

my girls have always loved Chip and Dale so i just bought the new Rescue Rangers DVD and they love that as well, watching all the old episodes.

My questions are: Did Gadget ever appear at Disneyland in costume? Did Chip or Dale ever appear in their Rescue Ranger outfits there? (We have the pins of them in the RR outfits.)

And if any Rescue Rangers made appearances in DLR, it be great if you had a picture and posted it!!!

    thanks!
    a friend of Walt.

I've seen Chip and Dale, but they were just in their regular fur.

I've seen 'em, as well as Fat Cat. There were also other characters from the Disney Afternoon line-up like the Beagle Boys, a couple Gummy Bears, Baloo, Kit, Rebecca, Louie, Darkwing Duck, & Don Karnage.

BOO-YEAH!! Chip n Dale are cool. Yes, CND were in RR costumes in DLR. Yes, there was a Gadget in DLR. Looks funny, though.

        Did anyone buy this?: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...s=dvd&v=glance

Speaking of Chip n Dale, I was thinking of a small attraction for them in Toontown. It's to replace the ghost town of their current treehouse home minus the slide and acron crawl. It will be a retheme of the Jumpin' Jellyfish ride from DCA and TDS. The tower is themed as a tree. The top of the tower is themed as tree limps and leaves. You sit in acorns. But the "cap" of the acorn remains so it's like a roof. As for the "parachute" component of the ride, it's themed to look like a handkerchief or napkin. So you ride acorns on parachutes being lifted and lowered by wind called "Chip n Dale's Acorns Away". The new location of the ride will be where Toon Park and Goofy's Garden is. The center is Chip n Dale's new treehouse and is able to fit adults. The entry door way faces north. There could be a 2nd floor to overlook Toontown. There are 2 exits on the floor level. But these will actaully be your entrance to the rides on both sides of the treehouse. The ride towers are surrounded by a wall of acorns. Riders exit through a twig door at the north end of the acorn wall. Where the rides are, it's where Chip n Dale are currently storing their nuts, er, acorns. OPTIONAL: the east tower spins counter-clock-wise and the west tower spins clock-wise with the tower as the center axis. The top of these towers could be themed as bird nests instead.

I moved Chip n Dale over here because I think it's a bigger land for them. And the current CND area could be a new walkway into a future new land to the left of Toontown and North of Frontierland. If only one tower is needed, they could turn the east ride tower into the new Toontown Park/ toddler playground.

I have more plans for Goofy and Donald attractions, but they'll not related to CND.

        What do you think?

Wasn't there a whole Disney afternoon area to the side of the Matterhorn once? I would swear there was a Rescue Rangers Autopia ride and a short lived rethemed motorboat crusie....

Chip 'n Dale appear in their Rescue Rangers costumes a lot at WDW (mainly in Adventureland). I've also known Darkwing, Scroodge and Launchpad to show up at WDW for special events or during peak season.

I just read somewhere that Don Karnage made an appearance in 2004. And Clopin made an appearance in Small World Mall recently.
