  • [Question] Buena Vista Street Music Loop

Does anyone here know what songs are on the Buena Vista Street music loop? Perhaps someone has found a complied list...? It is my understanding that most of the songs were custom recorded for the music loop by Dean Mora's band (he and his band were also the ones that recorded the updated Main Street music loop that premiered last January and the two separate Paradise Pier loops that premiered in 2010-11), so I do not really expect exact recordings to be available, just curious if anyone has complied a track listing.

From what I have heard while on Buena Vista Street, it really is a great collection of 1920s and 30s jazz standards. Nothing will be one of the first times I got to explore BVS and while walking down the idealized street, watching the Red Car, and going through the vintage themed stores and cafe, "Stompin' at the Savoy" came on and it just fit perfectly. It was one of those 'moments' that took me to a then and there and out of the now.

Speaking of music loops in the parks, it would be really nice to see some sort of complied list for both of the parks. I know there used to be a Disney music loop site, but that has not been updated since 2007 and most every music loop in DCA has changed since then. I would love to know the track listings for some of the newer music loops in DCA like:
    • Buena Vista Street
    • Cars Land (all the different loops that play throughout the land. The Route 66, outdoor loop, Flo's, Ramone's)
    • Paradise Pier (both the laid back loop that is played from the SSS to the TLM and WoC viewing area and the jazzed up, faster paced loop that is played on the boardwalk section of land)
    • Hollywoodland (the new loop here came out in Spring 2012 and is a great mix of 1940's swing and jazz standards)
    • Grizzly Peak (I do not believe the area music changed but I do know the music that comes from the radio in the office part of the queue was changed from contemporary country to a more 1950's country list)

It's funny how when the new Main Street music premiered last January, we had all these full recordings available online on YouTube and such, but nothing similar has come out of DCA, even with the two new areas.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but many of the BVS tracks can be found on "The Music of Prohibition" CD from the 1997 A&E Documentary. It's one of my favorites in my music rotation. I was delighted to hear many of my favorite songs playing when I hit BVS for the first time, and I "sing" along with a couple of my favorites every time I hear them.

As far as I know you can't acquire the loop for BVS anywhere, but you can pick up Carsland music at Lizzie's shop in Carsland.

Found here on Amazon: The Music Of Prohibition (1997 Television Documentary): Various Artists: Music

You can find background loop track listings for many areas of Disneyland and DCA, including the newer ones, at the Magic Music forums.

I know for RSR the line queue music is repeated before you get through the line. Sometimes you can hear the whole thing twice. Did you look at the 2 soundtrack they have Carsland and Cathay Circle that will get you going.
Here is the songs from the Albums:
                  The Music of Cars Land:

2: Welcome to Radiator Springs; Joe Louis Walker
3: Radiator Rock; Joe Louis Walker
                  4: Mambo Italiano; Rosemary Clooney
5: Stop in the Name of Love; The Supremes
6: Riding in My Car (Car Car Song); Woody Guthrie
7: Low Rider (Espanol Fantasma Mix); War
8: Junkyard Jamboree; Larry The Cable Guy
