  • [Fun] Not-Disney-Enough attractions that don't belong in Disneyland and DCA?

As a twist on the thread titled:
Non-Disney attractions that belong in Disneyland?

I ask you: Which attractions throughout the Disneyland Resort should go? What would you cut and why?

I'd get the kiddy carnival "a bugs land" out of DCA.

Dumbo never really fit into the storybook / fairy tale world of Fantasyland.

Maybe you can think of some others...

Innoventions. I thought Tony Stark was coming to gut that sad reminder of America Sings(RIP).

The empty Motorboat Cruise dock and Skyway stations are definitely not-Disney-enough attractions. Disney is better than that. I won't even get into the Rocket Rods issue...

I agree completely with axing Bug's Land. I'd also get rid of Jumpin' Jellyfish, and Golden Zephyr. And I may get pummeled for this, but at the end of the day, California Screamin' and Goofy's Flight School are just plain ol' roller coasters. Waste 'em!

I love California Screamin' - but for the purposes of this thread - you're absolutely right.

Tell you what, extinct attractions and locations that sit abandoned or haphazardly filled - Either need to come back or make way. How do you feel about the area north of Big Thunder that has vestiges of Natures Wonderland? Disneyish or not kosher?

Tahitian Terrace/Plaza Inn has a big target on it, too, then.

I'll go a step further: totally new Tomorrowland - everything is on the table.

I kind of like the Nature's Wonderland leftovers. I just wish they'd actually do something with them to make them a more interesting part of the scenery or Frontierland's story.

Those blend on nicely to the scenery and seem more like nods to the past than derelict attractions. In that sense, they are very Disneyish.

IMHO Dumbo and Casey JR Circus Train are critical elements of Fantasy Land. I loved them when I was young, and my nieces and nephews love them now.

CS could use some heavier themes, but the roller coaster itself is one of the best.

If we lump Dumbo in with Casey we tread a slippery slope.

I think we should add designated meet and greets to the list of things to dump. It was much more magical to suddenly stumble upon your favorite character. That's the kind of magical ment that Disney has always been famous for.

Goofys Sky School is the single worst attraction in any Disney Park.

I think Jumpin Jellyfish would take that title.
