  • [Other] Any CMs willing to help me out this Sunday?

Hi, I was referred to this site by Darth Maul. I was wondering if anyone would be able to do a sign-in for me this sunday, for my friend. It's her son's 4th bday. I have a pass, but she and her two kids do not. I'd be willing of course to buy you lunch or something in return. I'm not sure what people would ask for. My friends who work in the park are no longer available, so it's kinda last minute and I'd hate to let the kids down. I hope it's okay to ask for this here. Thank you.

Hmmm, not sure if this is kosher with forum rules. I hope you figure something out though! No one likes bummed out kids!

I hope it is. I certainly don't mean any harm. I know it's annoying to ask, so I'd like to do something in return.

Um, no offence but why not just buy tickets like everyone else.

aside from them being out of her price range, we had a CM cancel on us last minute. It's kind of late to get the price of 3 tickets together.

Yeah, our friend backed out and it would be great if we didn't have to cancel on the kids.

I wish you luck. However, this is much like asking for a way into Club 33, CM's only have a certain number of sign ins that they can use. They are also responsible for any guest that they do sign in. It would be very hard (although not impossible) to find a CM willing to sign in a complete stranger for those reasons. But.... stranger things have happened... esp. around here.

Right I totally understand, we just figured it was worth a shot.

Also, cast members might feel a little funny about exchanging tickets for services or favors. And I know that if you were to offer them any kind of money, even if it's far less than the face value of a normal admission, they could get in serious trouble, especially if you try to arrange it on a public forum. You said you had a CM cancel on you? Could that person refer you to one of their co-workers, and do it discreetly?

Okay, well we definitely didn't want to do anything against the rules. I wanna make that very clear.

Re: Any CMs willing to help me out this Sunday?

Folks, with absolutely no disrespect meant towards the OP or any other poster in this thread, soliciting CMs to provide entry for people they don't know is against Disney's rules. We also understand that CMs or their spouses are supposed to be in the park accompanying anyone they sign in. Providing payment or any sort of compensation to a CM who provides such entry, is also against the rules. Because of our policy of not going against Disney's practices and rules, we don't allow threads like this. For that reason, this thread has been closed.

Again, I believe that it was very clear that nobody involved with this thread was knowingly intending to break any rules.

Also, there were some trolling posts that were giving the participants a hard time for no discernable reason beyond the joy of trolling. I've removed those posts, and also a few posts made by some of you where were pointing out the harshness of those posts and which also quoted those posts. My apologies for having to move the posts of those who were just asking that member to have a heart.
