  • [Pictures] Early 70's Disneyland Hotel Screen Shots From Film

Here are several screen captures from a new (old) film I recently came across from a good friend. This was produced in the early 70's (believe it's 1971 or 1972) and I wanted to share these with you. The color has faded a bit especially in certain, specific colors. I am sure I can have this corrected at a lab. First, a helicopter overhead:

Mini Golf shots which based on emails, people can't get enough of:

In photo #2, I don't remember the red "Top of the Park" sign? Trying to find other pics of it.

          Great pics as always!
Interesting...I don't think I've ever seen that sign before either. Now it seems to really stand out like "hey, when did they put that there"

I hope you find more pics!

            As a matter of fact.......

This is a "futuristic lifeboat" display going along with the nautical theming of the Marina. You can begin to see the problems with the colors on the film.

Here is the propeller from the Queen Mary which was on display for a number of years at the Disneyland Hotel.

I have more if anybody would like to see them????

I can't get enough of your great photos; they always bring back some good memories. I'd love to see any you can share with us.

The first time I visited the DLH was in 1972. I was staying at one of the Stovall's space-themed motels during that trip, but I made it over to the DLH and walked around the grounds. Those were good times.

Great photos, as always. I especially love the shots of the marina. Really sad this is gone.

It's also really neat to see the arial view without the third tower there yet.

I know it can't just be me, but the "futuristic lifeboat" looks rather similar (albeit more round) to the ones Disney now has on their cruise ships. Great pictures, I always enjoy seeing them.
