  • [Pictures] Best views from Grand Californian?

This thread will only work with lots and lots of participation. I'd love to see views from the rooms of Grand Californian Hotel. What are some of the best views you've ever gotten there?
Sadly, I don't have any photos from my one visit in that hotel. It wasn't one of the better views, but we did have a nice view of the monorail going past our window.
Please, if you have them, I'd love to see them.
    Thanks in advance.

The best views of the Grand Californian are from inside ! Preferably from inside a guest room!

Usually when we stay there we get the room with the bunk bed, and a queen bed and we always get some pretty decent views from the room, but this last time we went our view was a monorail track, we literally could have hopped from the patio onto the track if we wanted to.

Even though the monorail stopped operating around 8:00 PM, it was pretty loud. Lol

If you get a room adjacent to the viewing platform in the DVC wing, you would have a neat view of WoC.

Not the best view but still made for a great first visit last September. 3rd floor overlooking the pool.

We could see the too of World I Color from the room and had no problem hearing it

The rooms by the Concierge lounge 410,12,14 have great views. Monorail below. Grizzly Peak and Soarin with CCT between.

                ^^^^^^Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! That's one heck of a view.
As I stated earlier, our view was nothing to write home about, but I need to mention that EVERYTHING else about the hotel was first rate. No complaints.
Thanks for the photos, folks. Please, keep 'em coming.

We are looking to book rooms and want to add the park view option (of course it's extra per night for this option). I was wondering if we choose the park view option for our room if this is the sort of view we would get or would we end of getting a obstructed view of the fun wheel, or grizzly peak, etc? (looking for anyone out there that has added the park view option and what view you got)

A villa on the second floor or higher guarantees you a great view of Paradise Pier pretty much completely unobstructed.

We always do parkview and have had generally good results. The non-villas overlook Grizzly Peak area for the most part; a couple years we overlooked the hotel entrance and guest pathways and could see Soarin and BVS. The "worst" view we had (even though they're all amazing) was of just Grizzly Peak with some trees in the foreground, and you could also see ToT. It was not a bad view at all, but you couldn't really see the 'park' as in guest pathways and rides and stuff. But it was still great.

You're going to get a great view no matter what, IMO, unless you're on the bottom floor in which case you may get a fence or not have enough height to see much.
