  • [Question] Questions for Disneyland Castmembers (about careers)

    Hello castmembers!

I recently applied to Disneyland as a Guest Research Specialist. I had an in person interview just a few days after I applied. My recruiter told me that all summer positions had been filled, which was a bit discouraging. She did, however, say I would be a great fit for the position and put me on a waiting list.

At the end of the interview she said they won't be hiring until the fall, and that they MAY call me then.

    Now for my questions:

First of all, how accurate was she in saying they're filled for summer? I always assumed Disneyland was employed by such a large amount of people that the turnover rate would be pretty high.

Second, is it likely the position will open up during summer?

Third, I'm worried that by Fall I will be in a large pool of other applicants and will be forgotten. Is all hope lost?

I'll appreciate any and all info people have about how Disneyland Resort hires new castmembers.

    Thanks,

    Concerned Applicant

If a spot opens is anyones guess. But keep in mind, guest research is a very small department within the resort. While other departments (attractions, foods, stores, ect) hires hundreds, guest research only sees a handful of trainees a season.

Hi Castmembers I have a couple of questions to.
        1. How often does Disney hire people to Attractions

        2. If a Attractions position not available at the time and you go hired for another position for example shops or restaurants how long do you have to wait or even possible to transfer into attractions.

        Thanks for the reply

Just remember not to give away any identifying info, like name, approximate times you applied, etc. cause they may be able to trace it back to you... I wouldn't answer these types of questions...

Oh no my apologies! I wasn't looking for anything specific, I asked because I applied for the same job position recently too, but haven't heard back for any interview. I would never interfere with someone's security (or job opportunity for that matter!)

My recruiter put me down for attractions as a second thing. So is that a possibility as well?

Even before Eric5675 replied I thought of that. I'd answer if I was comfortable but I really am just looking for general information and advice about Disney jobs.

And that is perfectly fine, and again I apologize if my question came off as uncomfortable.
