Sorry if this subject has been here before, but If we as a group are united to expressing our thoughts or concerns, how do we know if we are heard? I know we can complain or compliment at City Hall, but do you think that these boards are ever monitored by Disney staff? Could we make a difference? Can we have a say?

Excellent question! Wouldn't it be great if CM Matt read these boards himself, or even posted to them?Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

they have people who have the job of looking over the net to see how the "disney image" is holding up.... in more or less words.....they are watching for sure, and if they dont like what they see, I wont suprise me if they try to have the site taken down.Evil is lurking behind the matterhorn........ wait, that's just Mickey :ap:

I doubt they would try to take it down. Any publicity is good publicity and I am sure they would rather have people talking trash than not talking at all. I think they do read these boards. Other sites (including Mice Age) have posted pics of things that need repair and those are the things that get fixed. They would be stupid not to look over these boards. Come one, people who attend the park weekly and obsess over every little detail, who better to be your eyes and ears- plus they don't have to pay someone and its better than a "focus group" to see how their ideas are being received.
So I hope you are listening- keep up the good work at the park. We expect greatness and you will hear about it if we are dissapointed!Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

Maybe someone could start a "stockholders only" message board .... well only stockholders could post, but make it open to all to read ..... unfortunately I think it would take an "insider" at the company, someone with records of who owns the stock .... or is that public record?"She's taking everything. She's taking the house, she's taking the kid, she's taking the dog. IT'S NOT EVEN HER DOG. IT'S MY DOG! SHE'S TAKING . . . MY DOG!"

It wouldn't be the least bit surprising if management/VP-type people from Disney (including Matt Ouimet) read these boards... wouldn't even be all that surprising if some of them posted anonymously...
But the idea of Matt posting on these boards as Matt is the most ridiculous thing ever. The amount of kissing would rise exponentially and the amount of honest constructive criticism that makes these boards enjoyable would die off just as badly. We'd be left with nothing but kissers and trolls in equally high abundance.

Does anyone remember some private meeting a few years ago (it was something like Cast Blast or a similar employees-only affair) where they joked at the beginning that whoever had the open cell phone connection to MousePlanet had better turn it off? I think Al was still at MP back then. I thought it was pretty cool - I don't know if they read the boards, but they knew the Internet would be all over the meeting whether they liked it or not.

I do think that there are people at Disney who read the boards as DemonicDemona pointed out to get the general "buzz" of an idea. Do I think that cast member Matt reads the boards and is a closet poster? Serious doubts there. You think he really has the time to sift through everything?I am grateful... grapefruit! ~ Bjork (upon winning Best International Female Artist at the BRIT Awards)
