  • Disneyland Books

Went to a local used bookstore today and stumbled upon Disneyland The First Thirty Years (book on the right) The book on the left is Disneyland The First Quarter Century. Both books are pretty much carbon copies of each other except 30 years has a few photos of the Fantasyland rebuild in the early 80s.

Here's a couple more from my collection:

I also have Pictorial Souvenir books from 1988, 1994 (1993 edition), and 2004 (copyright 2002).

Are there any 50th anniversary books out or 50th Pictorial Souvenirs?

Good stuff. I love my copy of the first 30 years, especially the cover. Too bad there hasn't been a good 50th Anniversary pictorial book. The Nickel Tour is great, but it's not the easiest book to find. I'd love to see something along the lines of a Nickel Tour meets Disneyland: Inside Story-- a grand coffee table book. One can wish...

          A grand coffee table book?

Well, the Art of Disneyland and Disneyland: Then, Now, and Forever are two good books that have been out for a while now.

Not sure if you have them, but I recommend them. Then, Now, and Forever is the closest you'll get to a 50th Anniversary pictorial book, but instead of only current pictures you get a showcase of photos and some art spanning all 50 years.

Photos, news, and commentary every week from Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom!

I know that there's some stuff in Disneyland: The Inside Story that was not in The Nickel Tour, but I sure would file Nickel in the "grand coffee table book" category! That book is incredible!

I've got the 25 year book, its white, but the cover is the same style.
Then the books started to get a different kind of cover. I like the leather look.
Goin around the world...and back to Disneyland!

Here's another one I picked up today:

Does anybody know which year this one came out? I'm guessing around 1989 as there is a two page spread about Splash Mountain, and a couple pages about MGM studios. I looked for a copyright date but couldn't find one. Most of the photos are the same is in the one I got in 1988.

I got this one for 69 cents!

So, does anyone know for sure when that pictorial book came out? (pictured in previous post)
