I rode Space Mountain on Friday and noticed these new TV installed on the Standby and Fastpass Side of the queue.

Also they have the safety message playing over the "space chatter".

Also they replaced some of the LED lighting but the red "strip" lights and the lighting at the hallway ends still suffers. Oh, you cant forget the small TVs before the before you enter the hanger. Here are some pictures from the hall. It looks incredibly crowded because its was the end and they decided to throw everyone down into the hallways.

Going down the first hallway then turning:

Note: the star field is dark and the strip lights above are out. Now turning down the long hallway. All lights working:

    Re: Space Mountain Updates

interesting, nice to see something being done to Space Mountain.

Although I am confused on why the TV on both sides are completely different (Correct me if I am wrong). Very odd. I do believe they were installed as a safety proaction as guests primarily wait outside now and zoom though the tunnels.

      Re: Space Mountain Updates

If so, I hope now that the safety spiel loop has commandeered the exterior queue that the safety spiel-less version that once played outside has now commandeered the interior. Anyone care to report on that?

Space needs a refurb pretty badly.

The TVs outside and almost all the TVs inside are still working except the two small ones. but...come on maintenance can't you go down to Target and buy 2 monitors and install them in the small spots or just remove them completely.

It'll probably get a minor refresh during the build-ups and tear-downs for Ghost Galaxy.
Many Bothans died to bring you these fastpasses.

              Re: Space Mountain Updates

The safety video they play outside is the same one that's played inside on the monitors that work.

I first noticed the one on the fastpass side in late June. When I went on July 3rd I noticed it was on. I went back a week later and noticed it was no longer working.

Space Mountain in its current state is so sterile...

I was never a fan of the refurb in the first place, but you would think they could at least keep the blue tunnel operational!
