I found this photo on another website and it shows the new dresses for both Snow White and Ariel beside the 3 that have got there new dresses already. I read that Disney may not do the new dresses for Jasmine,Mulan or Ppocahontas.
I like Snow's new dress. It looks faithful to the movie. Ariel's dress looks, IDK, 'floppy'? Definitely needs a hoop or petticoats for the skirt & the sleeves seem kinda 'gypsy-blouse-ish' rather than full off the shoulder. Maybe some kind of taffeta or stiff lining to make them 'poof' more?

Count me as another person who is not digging on Ariel's dress. But I'm not a fan of her current outfit, either. It seems weird that the other characters wear variations of outfits from their respective movies, but Ariel is wearing something completely different. Without the wig, I would have no idea who she was. I've often wondered why they didn't put her in her blue and black "Kiss The Girl" dress or her pink dinner gown. Granted, the pink gown was kind of unattractive and the pink totally clashed with her hair. But at least it was recognizeably her. Have they ever had her wear anything from the movie? Besides the fins during the parades and things, of course.
I don't have a real problem with them. Snow White's shoes are closer to what was in the movie. I can't tell any real difference in her dress. I do prefer the dress Ariel has been wearing, but considering she never wore a dress in the movie that really looked like what she wore in the parks, I guess I can't really complain.
All I can say is, thank GOD they kept Snow White's bow in the middle of her head. The new princess illustrations with the bow off to the side drive me mad, and I just want to reach over and straighten it!! :bang: And yes, her new shoes are more movie accurate, which is a good thing. However, the white stockings have got to go. Put some regular nylons on that girl!
I understand why they don't want to use Ariel's pink dress from the movie (clashes awfully with her hair), and I do like the sea green color they currently have her in. But the dress in this picture is droopy and needs more "poof".
