  • [Fun] Tour of 3D-created 'Rio Disneyland'

I was browsing around YouTube and stumbled upon this video, not sure if anyone else on here has seen before. It only has about 380 views so I'm going to guess not.

Some guy from Brazil, I believe, has created a full detailed 3D model of a new Disneyland park in Rio de Janeiro! It's 50 minutes long and it's quite impressive. I'm not sure how long it took to create but it was definitely a labor of love. Complete with accompanying music (one pirates song around the 28 minute mark that sounds cool but neither shazam or soundhound could identify for me) and ride throughs of attractions he created for the park. Check it out!

Also brings up the idea... we now have two resorts in North America, one resort in Europe, and three resorts in Asia. What other countries do you think Disney might expand to in the future or where would you like to see them build a new resort? Or perhaps you think too many resorts would be a bad thing and Disney should stick with what they have now and focus on just making each one they currently have be the best it can be?
Words any Disney fan and especially Disney employee should live by:

"Disneyland is a work of love. We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money."
    -Walt Disney

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
    -Walt Disney

"I do not like to repeat successes, I like to go on to other things."
    -Walt Disney

"We did it, Disneyland, in the knowledge that most of the people I talked to thought it would be a financial disaster - closed and forgotten within the first year."
    -Walt Disney

"It's kind of fun to do the impossible."
    -Walt Disney

"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."
    -Walt Disney

I doubt Rio will get a Disney park, not in my lifetime. It's turning out to be stretch to get the Olympics there. Maybe Brasilla.

A lot of Disneyland Paris in that park with more palm trees.

That was a great video. Nice use of a lot of custom assets an models in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. Trust me, from what I have seen, the whole park is almost 90% custom scenery, which is absolutely fantastic! The game may be old, but this video still shows it has energy in it. Really loved some of the ideas in there, such as instead of having Splash Mountain, they have some sort of Pocahontas Log Flume-esque attraction, or there being a river rapids ride based off of The Jungle Book. Also really loved some of the musical selections in there.

Really do hope the creator makes individual ride throughs of some of the rides, as well as more in depth views of each land specifically.

It looks like he used a lot of the custom scenery from Disneyland Paris and a lot of other CS I have never seen before. What he did is hours and hours over weeks or months to build this Park, add the music, add the sound effects and just tons of other stuff. I have tried this myself and my computer is so shot right now I just had to give up until my new one arrives. That is an amazing job.
