It's in the works, part of the AT&T deal, but you probably won't see it until early next year.

The lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel has free wifi from what I have heard.
All right, listen! I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder.

          Thank you, but no!

This means more people bringing their tablets to the park. :thumbdown

I'm not sure this is physically possible.

I'm... disturbed... by the sheer volume of people who can't seem to live an experience unless they're viewing it through their tablet. I work at a renfaire where it's increasingly common to see large portions of the crowd watching shows and such through a tablet or phone - often not even recording or magnifying, just... watching...

Can people now not appreciate entertainment unless it's on an electronic screen?

I can't even begin to comprehend the idea of bringing it to a theme park or any public event.

WHo cares if other people use a tablet? I don't but if they choose to see their life through a 9 inch computer screen it's their loss.

I would LOVE free wifi in the park. It would make waiting in the (increasingly longer) lines more bearable.

Here's one situation I would like to avoid: standing behind someone that is using their tablet as their camera by holding it high up in the air. That happened to me at the fireworks a few weeks ago in DL -- I had to move, and then all my photos had the light fixture/American flag in them. If I hadn't moved, I'd have had a big rectangle shadowed in my photos. I'm not sure which was worse, but MY camera was right in my face, not held high to annoy someone else behind me.

I'm all for free Wi-Fi because that means I can check wait times that much more easily.

Has Disney announced that it's going to be free? I can't imagine them doing that because the cost to have good enough wifi for 65K people to be logged on all at once would be mind-boggling. I was assuming that they were going to do it like the cruise, where you pay a pretty high fee to use it and buy minute packages.

Not currently but it's in the works supposedly as others have said. Also who cares what other people do on their devices we all enjoy life differently.

I've been known to bring my little tablet, but I don't have it out a lot of the time in the park. I will use it for tracking my calories, that kind of thing, got an app for it.

I'm ok with people bringing tablets, but don't hold them up to film the shows and blocking the view of everybody behind you. I didn't come to a LIVE show to watch it through YOUR tiny tablet screen.
