  • [Rumor] Red Monorail temporarily out of commission

A CM friend of mine just posted on a social network site that monorail red is out of commission. I won't mention which site, but it's a major one, hopefully she doesn't get into trouble. Anyone else have any info on this?

I have no confirmation, this is just voices on the wind talking.

Re: Red Monorail temporarily out of commission

Monorail Red is probably going through routine maintenance, which takes around two months. This is why there are never more than two Monorails in service at any given time.

It was out for a while not too long ago.

From what I heard, it was basically ran to the ground and had to have some parts replaced.

uhm. is there a reason why they can't have 3 monorails at once? I know the older ones had 3 at once.

Monorail Red up and running yesturday along with Orange. They weren't allowing anyone to ride in the nose or the tail though. It must be Blue's turn in the barn.

Nose and tail cones are out of commission because of the railing next to the entrances. It is too low to meet OSHA guidelines which is why you see yellow tape on the ground by them. Hopefully Disney raises the railing soon!

That really is a shame. Sitting with the driver is a wonderful experience.
All right, listen! I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder.

I rode in the nose a few months ago. I think I deserve a "I survived the monorail nose with railing that didn't meet OSHA standards" shirt!
