  • [Chat] Where do you park??

It seems a lot of people prefer the parking structure but my wife and I usually opt for the Toy Story lot. With 2 kids, stroller, bag, lunch cooler, and jackets it's just easier for us to load/unload and maneuver via the bus rather than the tram and having to wait for the elevator in the structure. We tried it once and may have to again since we may have just had a bad day.

Where do you like to park??

I generally here awesome things about Toy Story lots, not so much from the Sticky and Friends structure. We almost always fly down, so I have only parked at DLR once, we were in the Pumba lot.

Mickey & Friends, typically, unless there's a special event in which case we go to Toy Story.

Toy Story is good if you want to be in a traditional parking lot where you park under the sky and there is no worrying about what level you parked on and the new OSHA safety sepal on the tram in the structure can drive anyone crazy. Toy Story is good for family because they way the shuttle. Toy Story is never hard to park in and the shuttles run continually hardly any wait.

            Re: Where do you park??

If I have to leave during the day and the sun is still out, I do like the Mickey and Friends, so I can come back to a cool car. But at the end of the day, when the line for the tram is worse than the line for Space Mountain (hyperbole), the Toy Story lot is a lot easier.

But my first choice is to stay at a hotel across the street and walk.

I miss the Timon and Pumba lot. If you timed it right, you would have the very best parking spots in the entire resort. The tram was super speedy and made for a great start to your day.

A long time ago I used to park about where the DCA turnstiles were. But that was a LONG time ago.

When my sister takes me, she prefers the Mickey and Friends structure, but when my dad takes me, he likes Toy Story.
All right, listen! I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder.

                      Re: Where do you park??

I usually park in the structure since its the closest one driving wise and its the most convenient one to me anyways. The only times where I've parked elsewhere is when the structure was closed off.

We always park in M&F since we arrive from Long Beach via the 5s fwy. The carpool lane has it's own exit ramp and often the ramp is open that takes you right into the structure. I really do wish they would run more trams in the evening though. Many times we have walked back to the structure because the loading areas were a complete zoo. We usually make it back to the structure before a second tram passes us.

Im am interested in trying the TSL soon though.

The combination of parking in the parking structure and riding the tram is just so magical.

                            Re: Where do you park??

I try to always park at one of the hotels regardless of staying there or not. The cost is the same, if not cheaper. There is too much waiting when it comes to Mickey and Friends. Wait in a line of cars to pay, drive around for a half mile to get to a spot, walk (for who knows how long) to get from your space to the the tram, wait for the tram, "enjoy" the tram ride, and then do it all over again on the way back to your car only to get all jammed up in traffic as soon as you pull out of Mickey and Friends. I'm done with Disney parking.
