  • [Idea] Mickey's Halloween Party Costume

My boyfriend and I are going to the party next Friday. He is going to be one of the skeleton pirates from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, specifically the on in the bed with the magnifying glass. My question for all of you is if the make up I've come up with for it is too scary. I think it might look scary without the rest of the costume but with it it will look amazing!

What does everyone think? My eyes are visible and the rules say masks can be worn as long as you can see your eyes...

I think it looks great! The eyes are barely visible, besides the eyes peering through the sockets would look spooky at night

Wow, it's definitely quite scary, but also incredibly impressive! It looks amazing! I think with the rest of the costume (the nightclothes, props, and such) it'll look really great and also help tone down a bit of the spookiness factor.

It looks incredible! As for it being scary, it's not so much that it's "spooky", it's just really realistic. I say leave it as it is and have a hoot when you hear all the "oohs" and "aahs" from the cast members and guests.
The music celebration puts some motion into my ocean!

Killer idea!! I think it looks great. Like most other Halloween situations, I would just be aware of kids around you & how they're reacting. I hope you post pics of the whole costume!

Scariness is not what I would worry about.

Please make sure they can see your eyes, or you might have problems with CMs.

There's nothing blocking the eyes, it's a foam latex mask I attached to my face. I'll keep that in mind and perhaps not do the make up so dark

                  Re: Mickey's Halloween Party Costume

The mask/makeup makes me nervous for you. I recall a couple years ago someone attended wearing a similar makeup appliance as the Hatbox Ghost and they were denied entry.

Is the mask glued on, or can it be removed? If removable, you might want to approach the gates without it on, then wear it inside the park (and run the risk of being escorted out or told to remove it if deemed against their guidelines).

If I may suggest an alternative, Tinsley Tattoos makes a skull face temporary tattoo. My shop carries them, but I'm sure you can find them where you live (though we do ship, too)

It is glued on. I'll definitely check out that web site, thanks!
