  • [Other] The Court of Angels - Lost Forever (poem)

To express my distaste for the loss of the Court of Angels, I wrote a little poem to commemorate it.

The Court of Angels - Lost Forever

At the happiest place on earth
Along the streets of New Orleans Square
    Awaited a safe haven
From the hustle and bustle of the park
Inviting those who could discover it
An archway beckoned those curious to explore
    A blue spiraling staircase
    Adorned itself with potted flowers
Overhead strip lights gleamed like stars

    But now it is shuttered
    Away from public view
    Mocking those fans
    Who remember its presence
When will the bean counters ever learn
That this was an important detail
    A detail which provided
    Suspension beyond disbelief
    A detail which provided
    Uniqueness to the park
A detail that is lost forever

    Very well said, frollofan.
"With the acquisition of Marvel and now of Lucasfilm,
Disney may have finally found the grail. You don't need
imagination or art. All you need is a brand."
