[Question] Have you done these "hidden gems" at Disneyland?

This article is all about the hidden gems (details) at Disneyland. I have done or at least knew about most of these. I will not ride in the purple teacup though, thankyouverymuch. That would be pukeville for me. The ones I had not heard about were the death certificate at the Haunted Mansion or the map at the Jungle Cruise. How about you? Are there any things on here you haven't experienced?

I have tried countless times to get the death certificate. They always say they have no idea what I am talking about and have never heard of it. I do have the JC map framed though, and the Lily Belle ticket.

Almost all of them. I haven't ridden the tender, but my daughters did as I sat in the first car and took pictures of them, so I guess that sort of counts.

I haven't done most of those as I'm usually in a scramble to get everything done in one day. Wish I knew about a lot of these when I was an AP. Lots of those are bucket list items for me.

Whenever I find out something I didn't know about Disneyland it just gives me another excuse to go back. For my next trip I really want to go in the "off" season so I have time to just explore. My last three trips were Christmas, Spring Break and Halloween Time. Way too busy and too much to do!

The only thing not done over the years is ride the purple teacup. Actually have skipped that ride because it makes me a bit sick nowadays.

Knew about most of 'em, done quite a few. Didn't know about the teacups, but then I never ride that one. I was actually wondering about how to get on the Lily Belle.

#10 can be hard to do as it seems more often than not the bamboo is broken or hasn't yet reset.

Hmm, didn't know about the purple teacup. They have pictures of both the flowered one and the solid colored, so which one is it? I've ridden both plenty of times but only because purple is my favorite color so those are the ones I will aim for first. Never noticed if they go any faster than the others. I do know that all the teacup wheels have been ridiculously tightened compared to how they used to be several years ago.

Someone mentioned in the comments section of that link that they don't do the HM death certificates anymore. It was primarily a WDW thing and I've never heard or seen of it happening at DL, but I guess there is a first time for everything!

Most of these things I knew about, but still haven't done because I must feel the need to draw things out for each visit. But now that I have a child, we can enjoy more of these fun things together!

Yup have it framed at home - soon as I found out about it, I asked on our next trip. The Mark Twain wheelhouse was fun, we did that for our anniversary.

Don't think they do the Death Certificate anymore either, but they do have Honorary House Guests. Got the certificate myself fairly recently, and posted a thread about it:

Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?
