Hey I love Steve and Donald. Might be descent...Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
Marge: Pink.
Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

Ya, I loved his little bit in Fantasia 2000. People tend to underestimate Martin. I think he's a comic genious.Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?

Not that I don't like Steve Martin, he has been hilarious in some of his movies (3 Amigos is one of my favs), and I was jumping into this thread to object to him being referred to as "B-List"... On the other hand, he is remaking The Pink Panther, and that is a travesty. No one can compete with the late, great Sellers...Honor those who fall under the sword.

Originally posted by ah schucksI like Kiefer too, don't get me wrong and 24 is amazing, but Steve Martin is a comic genius and deserves far more respect. I don't think is portrayl of the inspector in "Pink Panther" will try to top or mirror the great Peter Sellers- the two men are very different.
I think Steve Martin gets the most respect of any of his previous SNL crew. He's certainly has more success, and can play a wider range of parts. I still love him in Little Shop of Horrors! He was my favorite host, along with Jones, in Fantasia 2000. I'd love to see him do more Disney stuff in the future...Honor those who fall under the sword.

Steve Martin a B-lister?! Hardly!
And as others have pointed out in this thread, yes the one-time Garden Grove resident did work at Disneyland, in the Magic Shop on Main St (did they sell rubber chickens or fake arrows-through-the-head there?). There's also a longtime rumor that he was a Jungle Cruise skipper; the rumor was circulated to the point that even some CMs thought it was true (I say that because my brother used to work in Adventureland and Frontierland, including Jungle Cruise, and he used to tell me that the Wild and Crazy Guy was a former Cruiser.) It's understandable, because the role of the skipper is obviously akin to a stand-up comedian, but not true.
Wow, that was a long p-graph, sorry guys! Just wanted to voice mine about that great white-haired talent. B-lister? Pshhhhttttttt!!!
