Well, since Potter is the only SoCal themepark expansion coming, I vote Potter.
I must say Im shocked at the lack of DLR counter to Potter. There is going to be a significant shift in tourist dollars from DLR to USH when Potter opens. That is one of the biggest reasons that I was willing to believe the Miceage Monstropolis rumor for DCA. I just believed that surely Anaheim would do something to blunt the Potter impact. Well, at least we have Orlando constantly pumping out upgrades, new resorts and new attractions. My dollars will be going out there for the foreseeable future.

            Potter.

I'm looking forward to going to it, I'm looking forward to the effect it should have on the local park market - I can't see Disney letting it go unanswered.

I'm kinda looking forward to Despicable Me, but mainly because I think it should be cute and funny - not any earthshaking advance in blah blah blah.

My first vote goes to Knotts which is my second favorite theme park behind Disneyland. Then Harry Potter after that.

If those two parks both make marked improvements over the next few years, Disneyland better watch out.

It's funny because WDW folk are saying the same thing about Disneyland.

If Disney would just announce that they would
                  1. knock out the old, depressing, abandoned Peoplemover track,
                  2. remove the ugly rocks at the Tomorrowland entrance, and
                  3. move the spaceship spinner ride (the Astro Orbiter?) back atop the old Peoplemover loading structure,
and if they'd do these three things before June of 2014,
                  I'd be content for now.

Then after the 60th anniversary in 2015
                  they could create
                  1. a Carousel of Progress hosted by Tony Stark and his father,
                  2. a new 3D 360 Circlevision tour of the world (
or the USA if Soarin' will soar over the world),
                  3. a new OSHA-approved Peoplemover, and
                  4. Star Wars attractions over the Autopia area and some of the land to the north of that, and/or
                  5. a dramatically higher and deeper Space Mountain RANGE rethemed and renamed "Star Wars." JJ Abrams as consultant. Making two tracks that have much bigger drops in the dark and move much faster might be of interest to some.

But until Disney gets more specific on its future Tomorrowland, Marvel & Star Wars E-ticket attractions and scenery (I want opening dates), my enthusiastic anticipation will be directed at the incoming Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

None of the above. I'm not a Harry Potter fan and none of the other things are confirmed. I'd be happy if Disneyland just rennovated and adequately maintained all of their existing attractions and added parking and hotel space.

I'm confused by the potter expansion. They will lose a lot of foreign visitors like Aussies who fly in to LAX.

Harry potter does transcend all ages like disney does and I'm a huge HP fan

We don't know that they aren't doing anything. Nothing has been announced either way.

Harry Potter as that is the only major expansion that is under construction.

Everything else is just rumored or has been announced and put on hold.

There's a lot to be said for the overall draw of each area.

A family going to Orlando hopefully (at least for the resort owners) is going to be going for more than just a day or two, and Uni's been trying for years to peel off part of Disney's audience in addition to drawing their own. Presumably the same philosophy will go into effect for CA - it's just as important to strip Disneyland for some of their attendance Universal wouldn't have received a part of in any way as it is for them to draw original, unique visitors on their own.
