    Re: Crowds on Superbowl Sunday???

When I was younger I used to go every year on SB sunday. no one ever was there. it was an extreemly slow weekend to go.

Don't know about now a days, I'm refering to 15 years ago when I say I was younger.

Ever since word got out that SB Sunday was dead at the park, it isn't anymore. Between that and the 50th, it won't be slow.

Of course, maybe I'm just saying this so that nobody goes and it will be uncrowded for me .......

        Re: Crowds on Superbowl Sunday???

The last few times I went on SB Sunday (in last 10 years or so) it has been very crowded. I never could understand it. I thought everyone was **supposed** to stay home and watch the SB so the DL diehards could have an uncrowded day at the park,

I would expect that the ESPN zone would be packed!

Last year it rained for the first half of the morning. Attendance was light until the weather started clearing up. By 2 or 3pm, it seemed like any other Sunday. It was neither packed nor empty. Mind you, this was before the big 50th kickoff. There will be people this Sunday, but I'm certain there won't be capacity crowds.

ESPN Zone will probably be closed for a Private Party that day, it usually is.

                  Busy.
The two teams are not a big draw and there hasn't been a good story that locals could latch onto.
I'm guessing that the number of guests who have made this a "tradition" is now at a critical mass.
I can't go. I have poker the night before and golf that morning.

:ap: It's always been busy when I've gone on SB Sunday ~ sometimes I just can't get into a 5 minute play taking 30 minutes when I could be riding PotC. :ap:

Meh, it's not about the game. There are commercials and the group of 100 or so people at mny friend's house that make SB enjoyable.
Last year, I started falling asleep, so I went home and fell asleep there instead.

Just adding to the overall sentiment...
SuperBowl Sunday has had average to above average crowds at Disneyland since the early 90's. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we've had no NFL team in the LA area since then?
DCA will be empty...that's for sure (even though my family and I love it).

You couldn't possibly spoil my fun. My native-area team is playing, and I'll be with a crowd of my best friends (along with 50 other people that I don't know or can't stand).
That said, I'm going to try to get to sleep early, so I can play a respectable round of golf.
