“D” Ticket – Not bad, just not the best I really missed BTMRR but enjoyed Limited time magic with the different offerings! Liked the new DCA still!!

Nothing really tops 2012 when Carsland and the new DCA opened.

It's hard to rate on a scale; I visited twice in 2013, once in Feb. or so, once again in early Nov.

I really enjoyed just about everything about both DL and DCA, but the crowds took a LOT of the magic away.

Every CM I encountered was excellent, the parks were clean and tidy, the price was reasonable, but the crowds were just too much.

The year had some noticeable downs (Friday the 13th, Court of Angels, Billy Hill, etc.), but Disneyland does seem to be pulling through. 2013 was just the little post-party after the giant celebration of 2012, and it didn't do as bad as I thought it would.

Let's hope that 2014 brings great big beautiful tomorrows!

D Ticket felt right, as I would have given them an E Ticket just for maintaining after the banner year they had last year, but the ever-increasing delays with BTMR and the poor condition Splash has been in most of the year brought it down.

Began as E-ticket but ended as B-ticket. The pile of take aways (cast member Christmas party, GAC card) was not the way to encourage good feelings. The Limited Time features started very well but soon dwindled to Cupcake DuJour. Iger's panic attack shouldn't be taken lightly. There's storm clouds gathering. Personally, it was not the best of times visiting Disneyland from late summer to the present. It could be time to take the path others have taken: not to renew annual passports and take advantage of other venues for leisure and recreation.
I am old. But still love Disneyland.

Re: Rate 2013 at the Disneyland Resort.

We went twice in 2013, in april, it was ok crowd wise, light for most of the week (till thursday and friday) and excellent weather.

Went again Dec 15-20and stayed at the D'land Hotel, this time we hardly waited in line anywhere, HM and RSR are the only two that we waited for longer than 10 mins for. Crowds were VERY light and we unbelievably walked right onto Small World, Autopia, storybook Canal, Casey, teacups, Nemo and almost every other ride. And we experienced the rare rainstorm while in the park, funny to see all of the panchos from splash mountain..........

For us, 2013 was a huge WIN!!

This was by far, the most fun we have ever had at "Land"

Re: Rate 2013 at the Disneyland Resort.

                            I rated it a D-Ticket.

Here's why: There were no new rides but there were so many other things that it more or less made up for it.

-Fantasy Faire, a nice little land opened

-Thor and Frozen meet & greets were pretty impressive set-ups, not just a standard locale (like Princess and the Frog)

-Jingle Cruise, Viva Navidad! and Winter Dreams, great new holiday offerings

-Mickey and the Magical Map is a great show that brings Fantasyland back to what it should be with entertainment offerings

-Limited Time Magic - too many to list really

So there you have it. And I guess you can throw the new Starbucks Markethouse into the mix but I'm personally not as happy about it (ex-Markethouse cast member here). There was a lot of things that made 2013 memorable. It doesn't always have to be a ride.
