  • [Question] Main Street Electrical Parade

This might be better in the WDW forums, but since there's speculation about the parade coming back; I guess it doesn't make a difference. Anyways, why wasn't the drum unit changed from saying "disney's electrical parade" to "Main Street electrical parade" when it went to Florida? I know they altered it to "disney's" when it was in DCA, but why hasn't it been changed while at WDW? I know they refer to it as the Main Street electrical parade so to me it doesn't make sense why it would still portray "disney".

TDO probably didn't want to spend the money to change it. I'll be surprised if DL gets it back in one piece, considering how little maintenance is done on it.

When they sold off the light bulbs for charity, the tagline was:
Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade gone, never to return again.
They can't really keep the same name without being complete Liars.

I would be happy calling it Disney's New and Improved Main Street Electrical Parade with All New Light Bulbs (as long as they keep the music.)
"Ignore the Chihuahua behind the curtain."

They'd need a speed talker to fit that title into the existing musical intro.

            LOL

After they debuted Light Magic the next year I bet they said -

UH OH! What do we do now?
            MY SIGNATURE:
Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.
