  • [Chat] Walking in Walt's footsteps Disneyland Tour

Has anyone done this tour where you see Walt's apartment and you used to see the lobby of club 33?

is it worth it? Was it good?

Keep in mind that Club 33 is closed for remodeling, so I'm not sure how this will impact the tour.

I would say a lot depends on how many times you have been to the park, and if you saw and enjoyed the movie saving mr banks a lot.

If you have been to DLR more the 5 times there is nothing you really will see you dont already know about and cant find on your own with the exception with the entrance to club 33 and from what I understand you can see walts apartment.

I do believe you cannot access club 33 right now due to construction.

Personally, I was really let down with the tour, the guide appeared to literally be high and his knowledge was not up to par.

While you may REALLY want to see thee 2 hidden places I would suggest to leave them to your imagination. The club 33 entrance was really a let down. It was dirty, the wood all looked cheap and the candelabras had terrible looking fake candle electric lights in them that looked like they had not been replaced since the 70s. Some of them were out.

Not having seen walts apartment I cant speak for this personally, however I have heard people who have seen it expected too much and it was such a tiny space it sort of changed peoples perception of the place ever after.

Either way enjoy your trip my friend. I bet a local from this very board would be GLAD to give you a better tour with the same sites. Lord knows we ALL like to spout our useless DLR knowledge to anyone who will listen.

When I took the tour Walt's apartment was not included.

The apartment has been added recently I believe.

I'm not going till April 2015 so maybe Court de Angels will be the club 33 entrance you see so that might be cool.

Will see how things shape up closer to my trip.

            Thanks for the info!

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Although I didn't really learn anything I didn't already know, it was cool to see the apartment, Club 33 lobby and get a quick ride in the Lilly Belle.
