It started in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle between 10:30 and 11:00am. Prior to the start a serious of announcements let the "citizens of Earth" know that the evil Emperor Zurg was going to invade. However, when the ceremony came the green army men marched from inside to the front of the castle, followed by Buzz Lightyear riding a miniature green hummer driven by an army man (woman). Buzz promised to protect everyone and a green army sergeant (one of the Billies from the Golden Horseshoe), asked for volunteers to fight Zurg. The volunteers took an oath. Buzz then requested LGM (little green men) reinforcements from Star Command. Dozens of elementary school children (from Green Elementary School) exited the castle wearing green Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster t-shirts and little headpieces with shamrock antennas. The group then marched down Main Street and back to the entrance of the ride. A small number of the school children were give toy ray blasters and shot the door to the ride. Pyrotechnics on the door flashed, the door opened and two air cannon shot tons of green shamrock confetti into the air. The children entered the ride ... end of ceremony.

ps...went of Buzz twice this past weekend. It's a blast!"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

Originally posted by BaconDoesn't sound too bad. I stood in standby with the line filling about half of Ariel's Grotto. And even with the ride, at that time, coming to a stop every 5 feet (don't know what their problem was that day), it took less than an hour. When running properly the line moves quick. I'd guess that line would have taken well under 2 hours, pretty quick for opening day of an attraction.Originally posted by drunkmomthis is my first buzzed post in the DMCA -- I'm really in this club because I'm a bitch more than anything.
