  • [Chat] I dislike club 33

Anyone else sick of club 33.... they take away court of angels, lilly belle, already get to cut the lines... I think club 33 should be removed all together and stop taking everyday guest experiences away. I pay way to much to be getting an incomplete park.

Btw I've been to club 33 many times... nice but ehh

Wait, how much does it cost to go there?

And I agree to some extent. They do pay a lot, but that doesn't mean they should limit what other guests can and can't do.

Oh....wow that's a lot. How do people have all of this extra money?!
        Well, unless they're a politician.

I believe that 35,000 is the one time initiation fee and then its 5,000 a year but still, I get your point, Club 33 is probably all politicians.

I thought it was 10,000 a year after that. Anyway... I agree with you in some parts, but things like the Lilly Belle were never meant to be public in the first place, so I'm good with that.

Still, 35,000 is a huge upfront fee.
But that's one reason to major in political science and run for congress! Wouldn't have enough money to fund my campaign, though, so that's a problem.

The funny thing is the fact that Club 33 has been occupied by rich corporate folks since its start.

That is very true, though you'd think that they'd lower the price a little with the extra capacity now afforded by Club 1901 in DCA.

1901 was created to help justify the higher price.

I think the price of entry does some good as well. It kind keeps the amount of people in the club in check... but considering the big list, it's probably not doing very much. I'm surprised that they're not upping the price in order to shorten the list and gain more profit.

I used to envy people that got a chance to go to Club 33, but now the whole idea of Club 33 just makes me nauseous; I wouldn't even go if I could and it's turned me off of Disney in general. We didn't renew for a number of reasons but the loss of Court of Angels was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The Club didn't take away the Lilly Belle, Disneyland experimented with expanding who could ride and found there was too much damage, so reverted to the previous groups allowed.

Cut the lines? How do they get to cut the lines?
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

Actually, it was $25000 initiation in 2012, and now is $11,000 a year. Expectations are it will go up A LOT in 2015.

Let's see, the people that I know who are members... An older retired couple, a former DIsneyland employee, a camera operator for TV, a couple of police officers, a Microsoft employee, a couple of teachers, a farmer, an outside sales person for Home Depot, an artist, and the list goes on. Honestly, you would never know who was a member by looking around.
