  • [Pictures] Black And White Views Of The DLR

Basically, what it says - I spent a good 5-6 years in high school and at college having fairly regular access to a photo dark room, and so while I now don't really shoot with film anymore, the peculiarities and 'look'/general aesthetic of darkroom processed prints has stuck with me. So, consider the photos in this thread as a homage perhaps to that particular style of resultant image - all are processed by a rather effective free photo editor titled Photoscape.

    Hope you shall enjoy!

Those look great! It is so much fun to develop your own pictures and watch them come to life in front of you. I used to look for things to shoot in black and white. It's a whole different ballgame than color. You look at shadows and textures. It's awesome.

Black and white is so much fun! It lends such a vintage quality when it needs to and also just plays on light and dark contrast to no end. Monochromatic rules! I too took a B&W photography class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Still have my vintage Canon tucked away somewhere.

Thank you very much, all! Three more I thought were fitting to the aesthetic/process:

I adore monochrome; my favourite here has to be the Mansion Exit Crypt. Very cool.

I say it every time, but excellent photos as always. Great job on the very rich contrast, as it gives it an nice vintage look.
