  • [Question] What happened to the MiceAge updates?

I remember when I first joined this site 5 years ago, we would get detailed updates every two weeks or once a month at worst. Now it has been two months since the last one. That was my favourite thing on MiceChat, I'm definitely disappointed and I hope they happen more frequently again.

    EDITORS NOTE
: The MiceAge Updates continue as they always have, about one a month, usually on a Tuesday. Nothing has changed in this regard.

There haven't been any updates because there is probably nothing to report. Disney hasn't announced any projects for the DLR recently, and seems to be keeping any plans well under wraps.

They are always saying they only have updates when they have something to report. If you joined 5 yrs ago that was right in the middle of the DCA redo, or at least the news of it, and Carsland. There was a lot to report on then.

That's actually a pretty good point, I didn't think about that. I was going to suggest that Al Lutz hasn't been as actively involved as he had been in the past for the lack of MiceAge articles.

That's probably a good part of it too.

This question comes up so often, it might be helpful to have an answer "sticky"'d at the too of the forum.

I guess it's one of those cases where no news isn't good news.

I understand why it can be so much time between updates, but it also makes when the updates do come out that much more juicy

There was a time when Miceage reported on the activity level, general operations, and other short term topics in DLR... not just 'whats the next attraction'

It also once was an advocate for improving maintenance (or as we like to say, putting maintenance back to the expected level of the 1960's), like when paint was peeling and light bulbs were burned out for weeks at a time.
                    Has maintenance improved that much?
