  • [Question] Halloween trip planning

We've settled on a late October visit, and I've read that there's a Halloween party that happens in October. We'd like to come out from Sun Oct 26 - Sat Nov 1 (M-F in the parks). Is this advisable if we only plan on purchasing one admission to the Halloween party during that week? Does DL close early every night that week? It doesn't seem fair to pay for a 5 day park hopper if we have to leave early every day. Should we shift our schedule?

Any Halloween Disney enthusiasts with advice on planning the perfect Halloween visit?

The parties are usually on Tuesdays and Fridays and Halloween Day which is a Friday too this year.

Disneyland Park will close at 6 on Tuesday and 7 on Friday if those are party nights. Guest with party tickets can enter 3 hours early and the party goes for 5 hours exclusive to the ticketed guests. DCA will have normal hours but be very crowded during the party as regular guests hop over.

The parties won't make it a bad time to visit even though you will loose a few hours of DL park time.

    Here are some tips.
On a party night where you won't be at the party see WoC.
Between 5 and the start of the party it's very crowded, have a sit down, slow dinner during that time.
Visit the villains by Small World during the day, they are there all of the time not just at parties.
Wear costumes to the party, adults through kids can dress up.
If you plan to collect candy at the party bags are provided, you may want to bring big bags or packs.
Space and Haunted Mansions have special theme layovers, ride them outside the party as they get huge lines during the events.
Both parties will sell out, I would suggest Tuesday, because it ends early and the park opens later on Wednesday so you can get plenty of rest. On Saturday you will want to late into the night to see F! and Remember fireworks.
The official party date Calendar will come out on early summer, tickets go on sale in late summer.
There are buy ahead discounts and sometimes discounts for less favored days like a Tuesday versus Friday party.
Friday Halloween night will sell out in a couple weeks.

Next year I'm trying for a summer internship at Stark Industries.
